Instructions on How to Use the Digital Resources

Some databases require you to authenticate your library account before you can use them. Just click on the graphic of any database you're interested in. It will either take you directly to the database or to our catalog. Once on the catalog page, log on with your card number and your last name (use your password if you have set one) and then scroll down to click on the database you're interested in using. You can also see our complete list of the library's databases, along with a description of each.

Biblioboard is a free database that allows users to enjoy E-Read Texas's free digital books, videos and more. Additionally, the library has added several curated collections of digitized items from our Dietert Historical Archives. People from all over the world can find out more about Boerne's colorful history! You can also download the Biblioboard app for your mobile device. 

Newspaper ARCHIVE is the world's best resource for historical and genealogical information. Our unique archive spans more than 400 years of family history, small-town events, world news and more. You must have a library account in order to use this. Just visit our catalog page and scroll down to the list of databases. 

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books that teach young children the joys of reading. This resource is available only to patrons. You can access it by visiting our catalog page and scrolling down to the list of databases. You can also download the free mobile app to enjoy a fun book on the go!

TexShare Databases are free resources available to every library patron in Texas. You can access articles from dozens of magazines, you can do family history research, find information about business and industry, and you can do research on health and medicine, and books and literature. This outstanding resource is provided, in part, by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

Once you click on the Infobase Learning link in our catalog, you can choose from the entire catalog of videos, or you can click on the link to the "Just for Kids" Streaming Collection includes fun and informative video and audio titles on topics including music and arts, animals, sports and hobbies, math and science, history, reading, and much more—plus interactive educational games.

Need help with homework? The Patrick Heath Public Library provides free online homework help through Tutor.com. Tutoring is available in all core K-12 subjects – math, science, English, social studies and writing, including AP level assistance. Between the hours of noon to midnight students can connect to a live tutor from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection. Tutor.com is provided free of charge thanks to funding provided by the Boerne Public Library Foundation.

Explore your family history with the premier collection of U.S. obituaries and death notices for in-depth genealogical research from 1704 to today. HeritageHub helps you easily identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. This database includes deep coverage from all 50 states, hard-to-find content from the mid 1900s, and original obituary images. You have access 24/7.

The "What's Next™: Books in Series Database" of Kent District Library in Comstock Park, MI helps you search series fiction. A series is two or more books linked by character(s), settings, or other common traits. What's Next is free to anyone with or without a library card.
